Video, Photos: Lindenhurst FD Responds to Copiague House Fire

A fire near the Village border rips through most of two-story ranch home on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lindenhurst and North Lindenhurst Fire Departments helped respond to a Copiague house fire that occured near the border of the Village at around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29.

The fire, at 298 28th Street in Copiague, ripped through much of the home, leaving the top floor mostly burned and the outside siding melted off of the house's structure.

The fire occured just two blocks West of the Lindenhurst Village border on North Strongs Avenue. Lindenhurst crews helped respond to the fire because of their location.

The fire appeared to be under control as of 3:15 p.m., with multiple engines from Copiague and Lindenhurst Fire Departments on the scene.
