Dolores Plahs: “Wish a Trader Joe's or HomeGoods would take over one of these empty spaces. A lot of people have said this.”

Mamma Mouse: “Trader Joe’s would be great! A dream come true! I am all for it.”

Debbie B: “Look at Deer Park Ave in Babylon Village. They have many little shops that seem to be doing well. What keeps them going? I do not see many, if any, empty stores there. Maybe we two towns should talk!”

Joe Dirt: “How about a topless bar?”

Susan: “I think it's just a bad place for a shop. Where's the parking for it?”

PatG: “Perhaps a dental office or veterinarian.”

Jennifer: “Many business savvy people in the village, but it’s too costly to pay that type of overhead to have a storefront open. It does have a small parking lot in the back. I hope to contact some landlords in August/September to see if anyone is willing to rent out an empty space for two months in November/December, if they’re willing to really come down in rent.”

Heather: “I’d love to see a Trader Joe's somewhere, not necessarily there, or a gymnastics place that has classes for the developmentally disabled kids. My daughter is developmentally delayed and her therapists recommended gymnastics, but I will have to go into Farmingdale for the closest one.”

LindyDawg: “The only business that could possibly survive in this particular location is one that does not depend on ‘walk-ins’ to survive. A stand-alone structure of that size with little to no parking and located at a busy intersection has no reasonable chance for survival if customers on site are needed to generate revenue.”

Christian Minucci: “How about putting Call Murf in there? It’ll finally put an end to the problem of that huge eyesore?”

Frank John Sforza: “A business.”

James Simmons: “It was a liquor store for years.”
