Video: Lindy Actor Wins Best Supporting Actor Award

Russ Camarda's performance as Iceman in 'The Night Never Sleeps' earns the honor at the 2012 Long Island International Film Expo.

Lindenhurst actor got the nod for Best Supporting Actor at the Long Island International Film Expo Awards ceremony last Thursday.

Camarda played the villain Iceman in the new Fred Carpenter film The Night Never Sleeps, which he also co-produced.

Camarda was out of town and couldn't make the July 19 ceremony himself, so his wife Vicki accepted the award on his behalf, assuring the audience with a smile he's nothing like his on screen character in this film.

At the , Camarda said the role was a lot of fun to play.

"It's an actors dream" he said as he described the character was psychopathic villain.

has been receiving a lot of attention and in addition to this LIIFE honors he a Best Supporting Actor Award at the Film Festival earlier this year.

In this film Camarda also got to share the screen for a scene with veteran actor .

The Night Never Sleeps - which also stars Lindenhurst actress , as well as Eric Roberts and Armand Assante - is expected to have a limited theatrical release this September.
