With family at his side, Alan Bowyer passed away peacefully at his Saftey Harbor, Florida, home today after a short battle with Stage Four COPD.
Cremation and Memorial Services to be held in Tampa, Florida.
Alan was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated swimming pool businesses in Rosyln and Florida.
He also traveled the world to work on aquatic-related projects for theme parks and private industry.
While still residing in Lindenhurst, he raised his four children, was an auxiliary Suffolk County Police Officer, an active member of the Lindenhurst Moose Lodge and the English-American Club.
He always maintained a very special fondness for Lindenhurst, and maintained contact with friends and neighbors over the years.
His list of life's accomplishments are numerous, but his greatest is the many lives he's touched and impacted in such a positive way.
A loving father, husband and grandfather, he's greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends from around the world.
