- Thanks to Kathie Skopek for posting!
Kathie Skopek, Director has announced: The Lindenhurst Youth Center has changed its original hours from Monday through Friday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., to being open every day, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Being open every day we have expanded our Arts and Crafts activities, and we have some new video games.
The Youth Center is located at 177 South Smith Street in Lindenhurst (down from the Lindenhurst Post Office and across the street from the Varsity Football Field and Track).
You can reach us at 631-226-1320.
As well as arts and crafts, we have two basketball courts outside, two pool tables, a ping pong table, a fooseball table, computer, WiFi, XBox 360 systems, Playstation 3 system, Wii console, homework help and more.
All area youth, between the ages of 11 through 18, are welcome to join us!
Due to increases in utility costs, supplies and possible field trips we are asking for DONATIONS to help us out, as well as support for youth members, who are selling LYC basketball magnets (for $5.00 or more) to support the Youth Center.
We have New York State as well as Federal non-profit status as a 501(c)3 organization.
For the kids come down and check us out.
For the adults who can afford it, please donate your time as a volunteer or support us in the form of a donation.
