Music & Arts Hosts Three Sandy Relief Concerts This Weekend

More than one month since Hurricane Sandy’s landfall, Music & Arts is continuing to “band” together to help provide New York state storm victims with the necessary resources to migrate from relief to recovery.

This Sunday, December 9, Music & Arts is hosting three Hurricane Sandy Relief concerts in areas surrounding New York City.

Lindenhurst: Holiday Student Recital benefiting the Lindenhurst Fire Department

1 p.m.

Music & Arts Lindenhurst store at 125 South Wellwood Avenue

Music & Arts lesson students will perform in this annual holiday recital, with raffle proceeds benefiting the Lindenhurst Fire Department.

Attendance is free, and raffle prizes will include a Beatles guitar strap, Beatles guitar picks and Planet Waves accessories.

Stony Brook: Holiday Student Recital benefiting the Red Cross

1 p.m.

Music & Arts Stony Brook store at 2308-C Nesconset Highway

Music & Arts lesson students will perform in this annual holiday recital, with raffle proceeds benefiting the Red Cross. Attendance is free, and raffle prizes will include a Beatles guitar strap, Beatles guitar picks and Planet Waves accessories.

Mamaroneck: Beatles Acoustic Dinner Jam

6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Molly Spillane’s Restaurant and Bar

Event attendance is free and five percent of all food and drink sales will be donated to hurricane relief for local schools.

Attendees can enter a raffle to win a collection of Beatles gifts, with proceeds going to Long Beach High School.

Plus, attendees should bring an instrument for a post-dinner jam!

What age group are these homemakers? My mom just recently moved into my house in Lindenhurst and IRead More would love for her to keep busy, make friends and enjoy herself. she is not very crafty, but would like to get involved in other things if available.
