Workshop Tues. on Mold & Home Cleaning & Rebuilding at Duffy's by Adopt a House

  • Thanks to Adopt a House for posting!

Post-Hurricane Sandy Mold and Home Cleaning Rebuilding Workshop sponsored by Adopt a House is happening in Lindenhurst.

We're having a workshop Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in Lindenhurst at Duffys Wing House.

We'll have two specialists there, donating their time, answering questions, making presentations containing invaluable information along with educational videos.

They each come from very different and highly qualified backgrounds.

One is a mold remediation expert with many years of experience working with mold and its deteriorating effect on structures and surfaces, as well as potential health effects, precautions and more.

She'll be explaining how to do it yourself, as well as how to hire reputable companies to do it professionally.

The second is a former construction director for the local Habitat for Humanity chapter.

She's worked flood relief in both the Gulf for Katrina and in Iowa for the Cedar Rapids flood victims.

She wants to explain how everyone can rebuild the houses and lives of their families and not only return them to normal, but also make them better by using affordable and sustainable practices.

We have some donated mold products to be distributed in the coming weeks. Please RSVP to info@adoptahouse.org for Tuesday, December 11, 2012, 1:30 p.m. at Duffy's Winghouse at 95 Hoffman Avenue in Lindenhurst.

Hi Lindy Native. Thanks for posting these photos. But could you e-mail me at barbara.loehr@patch.comRead More with the originals and some more details? The photos you posted are really blurry/bitmapped. I think if you send the originals and some more info, then a story could be put together for the news section of the site. Thanks!
