Lindenhurst Middle School Gymnastics Team Undefeated for the 2014 season!

This is the first middle school team in over 10 years to be undefeated . They had 36 girls on the team which is the largest team in over 10 years. The team captains are  8th graders Christie Von Florke Maria Kaminski Kaitlin Vaneck and Kayla Mezejewski.

The gymnastics team was led by 3 seventh grade all around competitors Kaleigh Pensavalle, Sandra Lewsneiwski and Lily Barbra .

All the girls on the team were factors in our undefeated season. 

Coach Briscoe said "It wasn't just the veterans and the superstars it was the depth  of the "bench", people like  Brianna Reimers who competed vault bars and floor ,Samantha Kurtz on floor and her sister Julianna Kurtz on beam."

They also had Tierney McDermott and Julia Stieger on floor, and Amanda Martino competing beam and willing to compete vault when they needed her, and that's just the short list. Their roster changed for every competition. Coach Briscoe added "It was our ability to interchange athletes on different events that led to our wins. This is an amazing group of talented young athletes and they worked together , worked hard, and the stars aligned and they had an amazing season they will always remember."
