Hurricane Sandy - aka Frankenstorm - arrived in Lindenhurst on Monday, bringing major flooding South of Monatuk Highway.

Just north of Hoffman Ave , as of 3pm on Monday , lost a few panels of my fence due to the wind . No flooding yet , a few branches down .

No, none yet. Closest is one from Winona and Dewey behind Boston Market.

Ok. Thank you. My boat is on East Shore Road and Sampson Place. There are a few of us that didnt get out in time. I tried to get down the street to get a closer look, but the water was too deep. Hope maybe some of Patch fans will have photos soon.

My boat has been in the water thru nor'easters and hurricanes with no issues. This is the first that I'm very nervous about. The tide is the issue when it reaches its peak plus the surge that is coming in. Have plenty of lines on the boat but if the tide comes in as high as they say, I will run out of slack on the lines and the boat will have the risk of taking on water at the stern. Bilge pump will kick in, but its not made to be a sump pump. Risk of sinking is will increase. Have fresh batteries and electric, but if the water is that high it will trip the circuit breaker and bilge pump will be solo on the batteries.

I'm from ny but I moved to fl 2 years ago The house that caught fire on south 6th st in lindenhurst does any once know the house address number I have a very hoof friend who lives on 6th st and.she's not answering any of my texts or calls!

My daughter, her dad and his girlfriend are stranded on lake shore Road in the upstairs of their house. 5 feet f water in front and backyard and came in downstairs. the dock and two boats in jepardy. Scary.

Trying to find info for South Bay st. Cousin has a house there and they won't let her go back to check on it. It's about 10 houses up from the water.

I still get verklempt when I see the devastation to my Island. my sister and her husband live on S.7th south of Montauk.my brother and his wife a coule of blocks away north of Montauk. if anyone knows Kathy and Warren Smith and Frank and Rosemary Esposito tell them hey from me in Chattanooga.
