Construction on New Arby's Expected to Start Soon

Former site of Bill's Vacation Trailers ready after demolition to buildings on site.

The construction of a new Arby's fast-food restaurant is expected to begin soon on Sunrise Highway.

The property, formerly belonging to Bill's Vacation Trailers as well as an empty small used car lot, was sold off last year to the fast-food chain.

Nearby village residents disapproved of the move, voicing their opinions at a public hearing in May.

The village, however, approved the new restaurant to purchase and build a new building on the property.

Village administrator-clerk Shawn Cullinane recently told Patch the property had the go-ahead to begin work on the site, leading to the recent demolition and leveling of the former trailer business.

Representatives for Arby's did not respond to Patch's request for comment on their new Lindenhurst location. There is no current expected date of completion or opening as of this time.

Bill's Vacation Trailers moved last year to a new location on Travis Street.
