The store's been in the works for months now in Sunrise Plaza on North Wellwood Avenue in North Lindenhurst.

It's taking over part of the empty storefront that was long left vacant by Rite-Aid (the old Genovese store).

The large, old storefront was recently split into two rentable spaces in preparation for Dollar Tree to come into the space, and the front overhang of the store received the chain's signature green color.

And while Dollar Tree is set to open, the adjacent storefront remains empty.

There was also a sign posted on the Dollar Tree's front door on Monday morning that read, "Sorry, we're out of applications. Please go to dollartree.com, print and fill out, and slide applications under the door. Thank you."

Officials at the store added they're always looking for applicants.
