Long Island Cares Is Coming to Lindenhurst

Good Samaritan Hospital Chronic Dialysis Center, Lindenhurst

  • Title: Assistant nurse manager, dialysis, full-time, evening shift
  • Duties: Responsible for the provision of safe and effective care to all patients on the unit; management of a unit for a specific shift in the absence of the nurse manager, as well as liaison between the physician, patient and family. Current New York state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.  Prior experience as an assistant nurse manager or clinical coordinator preferred. Specialty certification required in the area of clinical practice or within 1 year of hire. Must have knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, regulatory codes, personnel and administrative policies. Minimum of two years experience as a RN required. Certification as a nephrology nurse or dialysis nurse required. Minimum of three years experience in the field of specialty required.BLS/AED training required and accepted from only either American Heart Association, BLS/AED for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program or American Red Cross, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

  • Title: Body shop technician, full-time, part-time
  • Duties: Maintain, repair and overhaul light- to medium-duty school buses and bus equipment. Shift to be determined. Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED and minimum of three years of related maintenance and repair, CDL with air brake certification and valid DL required. Must furnish own tools. Trade school certificate preferred.

  • Title: Assistant manager
  • Duties: Supports the general manager in effectively and efficiently managing a restaurant within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure guest satisfaction, profit maximization and development of high-performing work teams which consist of shift managers and team members. This position reports to the general manager.

  • Duties: Has a direct area of responsibility (i.e., culinary, hospitality, off-premise sales), also asked to be responsible for all aspects of the restaurant while on shift, from menu development and kitchen operations to wine selections.

  • Title: Inventory taker
  • Duties: Required to physically count inventory for various retailers and enter information into RGIS equipment. Inventory to be counted varies depending on the type of store to be audited. Items may be located on the floor, tables, or shelves at various heights. Items are generally counted on the shelves, but may be moved if required. Inventories take approximately four to six hours to complete; however, it may take longer depending on the size of the store and the level of inventory to be counted.

What age group are these homemakers? My mom just recently moved into my house in Lindenhurst and IRead More would love for her to keep busy, make friends and enjoy herself. she is not very crafty, but would like to get involved in other things if available.
