Hurricane Grill & Wings Headed to Lindenhurst

Former Cattleman's Grill will be redesigned and renovated for new wings bar.

Stand back – there's a hurricane coming through!

No, not that kind of hurricane. Lindenhurst will be the home to the newest Hurricane Grill & Wings when it opens later this year at the former Cattleman's Grill on Montauk Highway.

Hurricane Grills & Wings press contact Shelby Fox confirmed the restaurant's future in an email to Patch, noting that "the rumors are true!"

The former Cattleman's restaurant has been the source of many questions from Lindenhurst residents over the past few months, especially recently as the building underwent a visible renovation outside with no formal information on what exactly was going on at the location.

The building at 127 East Montauk Highway was hit extremely hard by the storm surge of Hurricane Sandy in October and was scheduled for demolition this July.

Another giveaway of Hurricane Grill's imminent arrival was found on Craigslist in an ad placed on August 2 announcing the restaurant was hiring for all positions at new locations in Hauppauge and Lindenhurst on August 5.

The restaurant, before it was Cattleman’s, also served Lindenhurst as Indian Taj and the Landmark Grill in the past two decades.

There was no immediate details on when the Lindenhurst restaurant would be opened.
