Women's Prosperity Network Shines a Light on 3 Local Women

Port Jefferson Station, NY  -- June 2, 2014 – With local chapters from Florida to Amsterdam, Women’s Prosperity Network (WPN) continues to stamp its unique style of masterminding on the Long Island networking world. At its June 13 ‘Shine Your Light Event’ (Courtyard by Marriott, Ronkonkoma) WPN will confer awards on 3 Long Island women: Tanya Lee (publisher, GEM Magazine), Lynda A. Moran (Exec. Director, Islip Arts Council), and Paula Klee Parrish (Women on the Move, Long Island).

Honoree Lynda Moran said: “I am thrilled to be a winner of theShe Rocks! award.  This network of women is strong, inspirational, and effective. Being a part of this exciting and transformational Long Island event for women who want to grow their business and enhance their personal development is an honor.”

“With more women rising to the top through career and entrepreneurial ventures, WPN has launched a program to honor those who exemplify a strong combination of resilience and heart and who have demonstrated these qualities professionally and through their community involvement” says WPN founder, Nancy Matthews. “Through our Long Island Chapter Leader, Andrea Feinberg, we’ve identified 3 who will receive the She Rocks!Award as part of the June 13 training, networking and exhibit event ‘Shine Your Light’.”

“Networking is a major source of relationship & business building on Long Island” said Feinberg. “There is a tremendous range of options to attend yet the WPN unique way of building personal awareness and opening new relationships through masterminding has taken hold with a devoted, enthused membership. Shine Your Light will introduce many more women to WPN with a very low-cost yet truly transformational event.”

The event’s two lead sponsors agree: “excited and honored to be sponsoring along with MassMutual Financial Group Long Island Metro as (this event) puts the spotlight on empowering women and being in control of all aspects of their lives – professionally, personally, and financially.  This is a mission that I am passionate about” said Susan Ganz, Estate and Financial Services Professional. (MassMutual Financial Group is a marketing name for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company – MassMutual - and its affiliated companies and sales representatives. Local sales agencies are not subsidiaries of MassMutual or its affiliated companies.)

Laura Serpico, videographer (Jupiter Moon Productions), is “excited to be part of this important event” as another lead sponsor. She’ll be capturing video of all the activities and helping guests to participate on camera.

“I actually said ‘No Thank You’ when Andrea first asked me to accept the award”, said honoree Paula Parrish. “Most of us do our very best to be kind and do good work. However, Andrea wanted me to see the bigger picture – the importance of (providing) inspiration and an example of what we ALL can do when we.…allow our spirit to guide our way.”

On June 13th, at Courtyard by Marriott, Ronkonkoma, the Shine Your Light Event will do just that.
