Register Now for Great South Bay Boat Piloting Course

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's Great South Bay Piloting Course:
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's Flotilla 1-1 is presenting a comprehensive course that will give boaters the knowledge needed to safely navigate the South Shore Bays of Long Island.  The course covers names and definitions of various types of navigation, voyage planning and underway navigation, and trip and cruise planning.  Hands-on topics include nautical charting, navigation tools and instruments, Dead Reckoning navigation, current sailing, fuel and voyage planning.  The course fee of $115 includes instructional materials and local chart.  Classes are Tues., April 22, 29, May 6, 13th.  Time: 7:00-9:45 PM.  For details and to register, go to: www.wbschools.org and click on Community, then Adult Education; or call Mr. Steve Cottral @ 631-559-8414.
