Dawn Kelly, Lindenhurst High School Grad, Passes Away

Lindenhurst native had been battling Lou Gehrig's Disease for some time.

Dawn Kelly, a Lindenhurst native and graduate of Lindenhurst High School, passed away on November 5.

Kelly, who had been fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) for several years, was 55 years old.

Kelly had been living in Sayville for the past 16 years.

She is survived by her husband, Tom, and their four children – Meghan, Brittany, Sean and Erin. She is also survived by her mother, Rita, and her siblings – Bob, Lorraine and John – as well as many nieces and nephews.

A wake will be held on November 7 at 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and November 8 at 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.

A funeral mass will be held on November 9 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Sayville. A private cremation ceremony will follow.
