Former Lindenhurst Resident Dominick Trasciatti Passes Away

U.S. Army medic and Korean War veteran was 80 years old.

Dominick Trasciatti, a former Lindenhurst resident and Army veteran, passed away on November 7.

He was 80 years old.

Trasciatti was born in Hilldale, Wyoming and graduated from Plains High School there in 1951. He then served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a medic.

Trasciatti eventually moved to Lindenhurst, becoming a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

He was a talented mechanic, and worked a long career with Pan American World Airways and Delta Airlines.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ruth, and his siblings Herman, Leonard, Edward, Gino, Enrico, Ann and Helen.

Trasciatti is survived by his son Lawrence, daughter Mary Anne, three grandchildren, his sister Norma and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be buried at the Italian Independent Cemetery in West Wyoming.
