January 2, 2014 Fire, Family still in Need. Please Help

A family is seeking immediate help from our community. Lorenna Marroquin and her four children, ages 21,19,11 and 7 were displaced by the fire, Lorenna is a single working mom who currently works for Copiague High School. Lorenna and the 3 younger are staying in a shelter in Brentwood. The 21 year old is staying at a church in Freeport. According to Lorenna, the biggest and most urgent needs right now are, housing and gift cards. Apparently Social Services, who placed the family in the shelter (Which they have to pay for since the family has an income) does not feel a kitchen is a necessity, so the family is forced to Eat out daily, which is consuming whatever finances they have available. As for housing, the family currently can only spend 1300.00 a month, which is what they were paying at the previous residence. She is not getting any money from her ex husband for child support.... Adopt a house is looking to raise $4500 for this family to find an affordable apartment. That will include security, real estate and first months rent. Plus a little extra for additional costs if needed. Please consider helping this family. link: http://www.crowdrise.com/Lorenna
