Last Chance: Annual Steak Fry, Movie & Bingo

Highlights for August 9 include the Annual Kiwanis Steak Fry at Firemen's Park, plus a free movie at the Lindenhurst Memorial Library. and bingo at the Knights of Columbus.

Annual Steak Fry
Sponsored by the and - and in memory of past Kiwanis president Larry Troiano - the is set for today, , at Firemen's Park.

It raises scholarship money for deserving Lindy students

It runs from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition to the food available for purchase - $12.00 for a steak or chicken dinner or $7.00 for a hamburger dinner - the Club sells raffle tickets at the Steak Fry to help raise money.

And this year there are more than 100 raffle prizes that have been donated.

Afternoon Movie will also be showing its free weekly movie this afternoon.

Mirror, Mirror will start at the LML at 1 p.m.

Doors open for at Knights of Columbus-OLPH Council at 5:30 p.m.

What age group are these homemakers? My mom just recently moved into my house in Lindenhurst and IRead More would love for her to keep busy, make friends and enjoy herself. she is not very crafty, but would like to get involved in other things if available.
