LOOM Weekend Events
The Lindenhurst is holding several events this weekend:

  • Vegas Night on Friday at 7 p.m.
  • German Night on Saturday at 7 p.m.
  • Family Breakfast on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Family Festival and Pet Expo at Tanner Park
The Long Island Pet Expo in the Park will be held Saturday, September 15, and Sunday, September 16, in conjunction with the Long Island Family Festival at Tanner Park in Copiague.

The Pet Expo in the Park will be open both days from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Family Festival will be open Friday, September 14, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Rain dates are September 28 to 30.

The Lindenhurst Historical Society is marking the 150th anniversary of the Civil War with a reenactment on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Irmisch Park at South Broadway and South Third Street.

German Festival on Sunday
This German Festival hosted by the Breslau Engine Company of the Lindenhurst Fire Department will take place rain or shine at Firemen's Pavilion.

GallettAir Incorporated Heating and Air Conditioning is coordinating a food drive for the , which recently announced a critical shortage, from September 10 through September 24.

People wishing to donate food could drop off non-perishable food items to the following locations Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.:
