Amityville Man Charged in Mineola Bank Robbery

The Amityville resident drove the getaway car, police said.

An Amityville man has been charged in a robbery at TD Bank at at 540 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola that took place Monday.

Nassau Police said on Tuesday that Nathaniel Kelly Jr., 60, of 100 Schleigel Blvd. in Amityville was arrested in connection with the robbery that took place on Monday.

Kelly acted in consort with another man who entered the bank, but is yet to be arrested, assisting him when he entered and exited the bank by driving the getaway car, police said.

Kelly is charged with second-degree robbery and is scheduled for arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.

Police are continuing the investigation into the robbery.
