A Bellmore couple was arrested on Thursday in Lindenhurst for robbery and drug possession after the duo allegedly stole a victim's purse, attacked her and pushed her out of a vehicle.

According to Nassau Police, Megan Yanolatos, 31, picked up the 22-year-old victim in Plainview. Then, cops said, Yanolatos picked up her boyfriend, Michael Martaux, 32.

After driving to Daniel Drive and Phipps Lane in Plainview, Martaux allegedly reached over and grabbed the victim's pocketbook, which contained prescribed oxycodone pills, police said.

Yanolatos then allegedly struck the victim in the face, the NCPD said.

When the victim began to fight back, Martaux pushed her out of the vehicle, police noted.

The suspects fled the scene, and the victim was treated for minor injuries, according to police.

After an investigation Yanolatos and Martaux were arrested in Lindenhurst at 4:40 p.m. on April 25, and the oxycodone pills were recovered, cops said.

Both Yanolatos and Martaux have been charged with second-degree robbery and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Their arraignment is scheduled for Friday, April 26, at First District Court in Hempstead.
