Original Story (4 p.m.):
Multiple fire departments are currently fighting a major blaze at a home on E. Hoffman Avenue in Lindenhurst.

The three-story home on fire is located at the corner of S. High Street.

The Lindenhurst Fire Department is battling the fire along with help from the North Lindenhurst, Copiague, West Babylon and East Farmingdale departments.

No word on any injuries as of yet.

The fire reportedly began at around 2:50 p.m., sending smoke billowing out of the home and shrouding Hoffman and South High Street in a thick cloud of smoke.

The fire ripped through the home's roofing at around 3:30 p.m., but departments poured water on the erupting flames and began putting the blaze under control soon after.

E. Hoffman Avenue is currently closed between Wellwood Avenue and the post office.  Please avoid the area to help lessen the traffic condition.
