Police: Bald Man Robs N. Lindenhurst Bank

Bank on Sunrise Highway hit Thursday afternoon, police say.

A North Lindenhurst bank was robbed Thursday afternoon, police said.

According to police, a bald unshaven white male entered the Citibank, located at 120 Sunrise Highway, at about 3 p.m., and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

The teller complied with the robber’s demand and handed the man an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The robber, who was wearing a red shirt and grey sweatpants, fled on foot northbound on Fulton Street, police said.

There have been several bank robberies in the area recently in which a similar description of the suspect has been been released by police. However, when asked Thursday if detectives believe the same man is behind the North Lindenhurst robbery, a police spokesperson said only, "Everything is still under investigation."
