A Lindenhurst man was arrested Wednesday and charged with stealing items from multiple vehicles in Lindenhurst during the past week, police said.
Matthew Hyland, 26, is charged with three counts of petty larceny and three counts of fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
Hyland stole two GPS devices and a cellphone from unlocked vehicles, police said.
Officers are investigating to determine if Hyland is responsible for other similar incidents, police said.
