Police: Lindenhurst Man Robbed Same W. Babylon Bank Twice

Christopher Legge, 39, is charged with multiple counts of robbery, police say.

A Lindenhurst man was arrested by Suffolk County Major Case Investigation Unit detectives on Thursday and charged with robbing the same West Babylon bank twice this month, police said.

Christopher Legge, 39, robbed the Roslyn Savings Bank on West Montauk Highway on the mornings of and , according to police.

In both cases, Legge the bank wearing a black ski mask and shouted demands for money, police said.

Tellers complied with Legge's demands, police said, and he took off with unspecified amounts of cash.

Legge is charged with two counts of third-degree robbery, as well as criminal possession of marijuana. He's being held overnight at the First Precinct and is due to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday, March 2.
