Police Seeking Man Who Stole Leukemia Research Donation Jar
Jar set up in memory of 8-year-old Isabella Pine is stolen from Lindenhurst 7-Eleven.
Police are asking for the public's help to find the man pictured above who they say stole a donation jar from a Lindenhurst 7-Eleven.
The jar to collect cash for leukemia research in memory of 8-year-old Isabella Pine, who died from the cancer in 2012, was snatched on Feb. 3 at 9:44 p.m. from the store located at 849 N. Greene Avenue.
Isabella's mother, Dianne Pine, is the store's manager and she told WCBS 880 that more than $11,000 has been raised for cancer research since the jar was placed in the store right after Isabella's death. The jar had about $75 in it at the time it was stolen.
