Police Link Lindenhurst Man to Local Bank Heists

Police said , 53, was arrested and charged for allegedly robbing the TD Bank branch in West Babylon.
Police said a further investigation revealed that Sebastopoli was also responsible for robbing the Apple Bank branch at 151 East Sunrise Highway on March 25, the Chase Bank branch located at 595 Sunrise Highway in West Babylon on March 3 and the Polish Slavic Federal Credit Union at 314 Great Neck Road in Copiague on April 7.

He is charged with three counts of robbery in the third degree and one count of attempted robbery in the first degree. Sebastopoli will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip April 13, police said.
According to police, was apprehended Tuesday following the robbery of the TD Bank branch at 701 Montauk Highway in West Babylon.

Police said Sebastopoli handed a teller a note demanding cash, and after the teller complied with the demand, Sebastopoli fled the scene in a silver KIA SUV.
Following a broadcast notification of the incident, Sebastopoli was apprehended later the same day by David Leath, an officer in the First Precinct’s Community Oriented Police Enforcement unit, police said.
