Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with members of the Town Board to recognize Last Hope Animal Rescue for their continued hard work in providing services to the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter.
For years, Last Hope has worked with the shelter to help find new homes for abandoned animals, assist with adoptions, trap and neuter feral cats, provide veterinary services, and offer free rabies vaccine clinics to pets in the area.

Representatives from Last Hope were invited to a surprise ceremony at Town Hall, where they were presented with an official Town Proclamation thanking them for their service and also were given a photo book put together by the Babylon Town Animal Shelter of the dogs and one cat that Last Hope adopted from the shelter in 2013.
The Town of Babylon Animal Shelter is located at 51 Lamar Street in West Babylon and provides pet adoption services to Town residents, while also serving as a home to displaced animals in need.
