Bin Laden's Death, One Year Later

Tuesday marks the first anniversary of the death of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

The man who was responsible for the attacks that the destroyed the World Trade Center was killed by Navy SEALS in Pakistan.

It was a bittersweet moment for Lindenhurst residents. Though glad he was gone, the terror leader's death emotions and memories of those loved ones lost in the 9/11 attacks.

This man's death also left Lindenhurst residents and their fellow residents of the United States a bit uneasy, wondering what might come next and who might replace him.

Even a year later there's still some concern. Last week the Department of Homeland Security released a bulletin warning of possible terror attacks on the anniversary.

Congressman Peter King, R-Seaford. told CBS, "There's chatter or talk among various terrorists, various al Qaeda supporters, about avenging the death of bin Laden. Basically with the first anniversary coming up, this is a warning, advisory to all Americans for keeping their eyes and ears out, and also I'd say to anyone in airlines, rail, anyone at all, to be extra cautious, extra careful.”
