Talk Back: Should Public Meetings Be Broadcast?

There are many board meetings that take place in Lindenhurst each month - from Village and Town meetings to Lindenhurst Board of Education meetings.

But not many residents attend, or are able to attend. That could be the result of busy schedules, not being aware of the meetings or the actual meeting times.

However, to help residents and raise awareness over in the Town of North Hempstead back in February, the Town's Building Department summit was streamed, as were more recent redistricting hearings.

Meanwhile, also back in February, the Town's board voted against televising meetings on the Town's channel or streaming them live online.

Should Town, Village and school board meetings be broadcast?
