West Gates Student Council Donates Packages to Troops
The Lindenhurst elementary school also participates in a recycling project, raises funds for Sandy victims and collected toys for a drive at Good Sam.
West Gates Elementary School’s student council recently sent care packages to United States troops stationed in Afghanistan.
Student council members also participated in a Capri Sun recycling project, a Cents-for-Sandy fundraiser for West Gates families affected by Hurricane Sandy and a toy drive for children in Good Samaritan Hospital.
The Lindenhurst School District thanked advisors Pennie Hale and Joe Mancuso who helped coordinate efforts with the students.
