Staiger, MD stated in the release .

Good Sam President and CEO James Caldas felt that the center and the offering of these advanced diagnostics is something the community was missing.

“Backed by the financial strength of Catholic Health Services and supported by The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation donors, we’re able to build a state-of-the-art Women’s Imaging Center,” he said, adding, ““Expansion of services starts with understanding the needs of the community, then engaging the best physician leadership and clinical staff.”

To that end, the center will feature an all-female staff that specializes in breast imaging. It’ll also be the home to the .

Good Sam’s all-female mammographers are specialists in breast imaging, officials noted. Additionally, Good Sam is accredited by the American College of Radiology, has three-year/full accreditation designation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and has earned three-year accreditation with commendation from the Commission on Cancer.
