Owen is surely a sign of more compassionate times since not long ago, a cat as badly injured as this sweet one was wouldn’t have stood a chance in an industrial area or at a shelter.
This sweet little boy recently showed up with a mangled leg at a nearby business. The kind proprietor noticed he wasn’t part of the feral colony for which he cares.
He brought little Owen to the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter where they examined him and determined his leg couldn’t be saved. The shelter paid for extensive surgery to amputate little Owen’s front leg, and neuter him at the same time.
Owen is now one of the featured pets at the shelter. He’s seeking a forever home where he can convalesce and be pampered.
For more information about Owen, call the TOB Animal Shelter at 631-643-9270, e-mail the shelter or visit the website. His ID number is 20695.
Or simply go to meet Owen. The shelter’s open between 10 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
