Former 'Rent' Star Anthony Rapp Giving Master Class at BACCA Sat.

StageLight Entertainment hosts the one-night only musical theater master class with Rapp at the BACCA Arts Center in Lindenhurst on May 18.

StageLight Entertainment is hosting a one-night only musical theater master class with former Rent star Anthony Rapp at the BACCA Arts Center, 149 North Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst on Saturday.

According to StageLight Vice President Chris Rosselli, the "very special" event that starts at 7 p.m. on May 18 features Rapp, who was the original Mark in Rent on Broadway and the movie adaption.

"This is an amazing opportunity for musical theater fans to interact with him, and hear stories about working on Broadway in such an amazing production," Rosselli shared with Patch in an e-mail.

"Guests of the workshop will be able to perform for Mr. Rapp and sing their best audition piece for him, allowing him to critique it and give valuable pointers and advice," he added.

It's $100 to participate in the workshop, and $15 to watch in the audience.

This is also a special fundraiser event for Royal Family Production's Romeo/Juliet, which will be performed at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe.
