Body Found At Gilgo ID'd As Queens Woman

Police say Natasha Jugo has been missing since mid-March.

The body of a dead female that came ashore Monday on Gilgo Beach has been identified as a Queens woman missing since March.

Newsday, citing information from a Suffolk County Police spokesperson, reported that the body is that of Natasha Jugo, 31, who was reported missing on March 18. Police began their search for Jugo after a 911 caller reported finding personal items near Ocean Walk in West Gilgo Beach.

Back in March, New York City Police said that Jugo had not been seen since leaving her home the day before she was reported missing.

Police reiterated that they do not believe the incident involving Jugo is connected to the investigation surrounding several bodies found in the Gilgo area in 2010 and 2011.
