Joe's Plaza Jewelry Coming to Lindenhurst

Jewelry shop and shoe repair replaces a vacant storefront near Wellwood and Hoffman Avenues intersection.

Jewelry lovers in Lindenhurst will be getting a new spot to check out soon – Joe's Plaza Jewelry will be coming to the village within the coming weeks.

The storefront at 7 East Hoffman Avenue was adorned with "coming soon" signs late last week, announcing the impending arrival.

According to advertisements for the shop, the new storefront will handle jewelry purchases, repairs and buying/selling of items.

The shop will also handle all types of shoe and leather repairs, from business casual footwear to your leather jacket at home.

There was no immediate word whether the West Babylon business of the same name would be moving that location or operating both simultaneously.

The shop replaces a vacant storefront that house an antique shop for the last year before closing earlier in the summer.

Long before that, the shop handled the baseball trading card store RST Collectibles before it moved to Wellwood Avenue in the late 1990's and closed in the mid 2000's.
