Thousands Take Part in Run for the Warriors

Annual race raised over $200,000 to help wounded veterans and their families.

Over three thousand people took part in the Town of Babylon's Run for the Warriors races that wound their way through Lindenhurst and West Babylon.

The annual race raised over $200,000, which will go towards helping the Hope For The Warriors organization. The organization dedicates itself to helping wounded United States service members, their families and the families of those who have lost a service member.

The race, which ran down Wellwood Avenue in the beginning stretch, found itself the center of many photographs by passerbys.

Special thanks to our readers for providing the photos above from the race!

We'll have full results from the races tomorrow!
