Babylon Town Earth Day Celebration (Photos)

The at in Lindenhurst was smaller this year, but well-attended, despite the drizzle and the threat of heavier rain.

The Town showed off its eco-friendly efforts, such as its Long Island Green Homes Program.

and Covanta, which for the past 20 years has operated the town’s resource recovery facility located by the town’s old landfill in West Babylon, was also there.

The Town of Babylon Animal Shelter was there, too, with some doggie ambassadors seeking forever homes: , and , a four-and-half-year-old lab mix.
