Former Lindenhurst High School principal James Connolly has passed away, according to an email sent out earlier by current Principal Daniel Giordano.
"It is with deep regret to inform you of the passing of James Connolly," he wrote in the email.
There were no details immediately available on Connolly's passing, but funeral arrangements were given.
A wake will be held at New Hyde Park Funeral Home this Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The funeral will be held at St. Joseph's in Garden City on Monday at 10 a.m. and he will be buried at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.
