Marie Beredyn, Former Lindenhurst Resident, Passes Away
Retired school bus driver was active with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Florida.
Marie Beredyn, a former Lindenhurst resident and Lynbrook native, passed away in Edgewater, Florida on Tuesday, October 15.
She was 80 years old.
Beredyn was born in Lynbrook and lived in Lindenhurst for a period of time where she had worked as a school bus driver before moving to Florida in 1994.
While living in Florida, Beredyn was active with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Hacienda Social Community. She spent her time bowling and making ceramics.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank, and their three children – James, Edward and Ann Marie. She is also survived by three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 22 at the All Faiths Mausoleum of Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in Edgewater, FL.
