Original Story (11:45 a.m.):
A car accident involving at least one vehicle has shut down East Hoffman Avenue at Wellwood Avenue.
Details were scarce but the crash reportedly occurred around 11:30 a.m.
A Chevrolet truck was damaged at the scene and required a flatbed truck to remove it.
Suffolk County Police and the Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to the scene.
There was no immediate word on any injuries sustained in the collision.
