Pair of Armed Robbers Who Struck in Lindy Sought by Suffolk Police

As police look into a series of armed robberies in Lindenhurst, Babylon, Deer Park, Dix Hills and Bay Shore, they're asking for the public's help in identifying two men allegedly responsible.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Pattern Crime Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who have robbed multiple gas stations and convenience stores in Lindenhurst, Babylon, Deer Park, Dix Hills and Bay Shore.

According to police, during each of the robberies, two men armed with hand guns - a silver gun and a black gun - entered the businesses and demanded cash.

The men, who wore masks and gloves, also demanded Newport cigarettes, police said.

They fled the locations on foot, noted police, but possibly had a getaway vehicle nearby.

The robberies took place between December 23, 2012 and May 16, 2013, the SCPD said.

“Both suspects are described as black males: one man is dark-skinned and the other man is light-skinned. They weigh approximately 200 to 240 pounds, and are between five feet 10 inches tall and six feet four inches tall. They’re usually dressed in dark, hooded sweatshirts and wear masks to conceal their faces,” said police officials.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
