Meet the Lindy BOE Candidate & Budget Presentation Set for Wed.

The Lindenhurst Council of PTAs' Annual Budget Presentation and Meet the Candidate meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. on April 24 at William Rall Elementary School.

The Lindenhurst Council of PTAs is hosting its annual Meet the Candidate night this Wednesday, April 24.

As it does every year this event gives residents the chance to meet who's running for the Lindenhurst Board of Education this year.

The Council's annual event coincides with its monthly meeting on Wednesday night, and starts at 7:30 p.m. at William Rall Elementary School.

"Please join us as the new candidates for Board of Education trustees introduce themselves. This is a perfect opportunity to get to know who you'll be electing to represent you on the Board of Ed. for the 2013-14 school year," said Julie Cicchetti, president of the Council.

Superintendent Richard Nathan is also set to give a presentation about the proposed budget for 2013-14, which is set to be adopted on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at a special meeting at the McKenna Administration Building.

"Find out first-hand about changes that'll be occurring next year, and how they'll affect you. There'll be an opportunity for questions," noted Cicchetti.

The Annual Budget Vote and Trustee Election will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, as usual, at Albany Avenue, Daniel Street, Harding Avenue and William Rall Elementary Schools.

And those residents who voted last year at Alleghany Avenue Elementary School vote this year at the Lindenhurst Middle School, located at 350 South Wellwood Avenue, according to the Lindenhurst School District on its website here.
